Down the road, the most important aspect of a software project will be the licensing method. I have friends who have buttons that say "license managers suck". This kind of revolt makes alot of sense to Acme Web Services. Providing hands on access to the tools required to get things working is what its all about. By embracing open source licensice of software (or other products for that matter), the world keeps itself safe from people being forbidden to reuse their own code, and from projects becoming like "dead hulks" that have to be completely scrapped in order to achieve a desired function. The conjoining gravity of cetralization on the net that pulls us all to use "better, more comprehensive" providers of internet services such as google, yahoo, aol, microsoft, digg, twitter, blip.fm, facebook, youtube, and myspace naturally spawn interest in an evolving media dialogue.
